At Manor Barn we provide nursing, respite and palliative care lead by a qualified nursing team. Whilst the type of care may vary to meet our clients’ requirements the core elements of our service are consistent.
All emphasise the importance of the individual client and are designed to secure their dignity and well-being.
We are committed to the delivery of the highest care standards and believe that staff training is fundamental to this objective. On completion of basic training all members of staff are encouraged to take additional competence training courses to further advance their skills and knowledge.
Throughout the year improvement and maintenance of standards is achieved by “hands on” supervision ensuring that good practice is reviewed on a regular basis. All staff are subject to an Annual Appraisal that gives the opportunity to discuss performance and review training requirements.
A strong management team, a well-equipped and modern care environment support the fully trained and experienced care teams. Locally there is a support network of GP’s, District Nurses, Therapists and Social Workers.
